OUR HISTORY
Fratelli Guidetti was founded in 1914 by Piero and Renato Guidetti, becoming involved in the machine tool trade in the very first phase of development of the mechanical industry in Brescia.
After the first troubled years during the Great War, the company’s activities spread over a vast area including the provinces of eastern Lombardy, Triveneto and part of Emilia.
AFTER THE WAR
In the immediate post-war period, Fratelli Guidetti established itself as one of the most important businesses in the mechanical and woodworking sector, offering a wide range of articles of domestic and foreign production.
Consistent with this project, Fratelli Guidetti joined the family’s other activities and in particular the production and commercialisation of vegetable-based oils for industrial use, with the GuibrOil and RizzOil brands.
After the Second World War, the company’s development followed the steps and evolutionary characteristics of industrialisation in Brescia, gradually abandoning the wood sector to concentrate mainly on mechanics and therefore on the marketing of machine tools, equipment, tools and abrasives for metalworking.
THE SEVENTIES
The crisis of the early seventies saw Fratelli Guidetti adapt and structure itself to provide the best possible response to the changing times and market: the new layout and location of the industrial fabric, as well as the changing urban structure and city road system, forced the company to move from its old premises in the very central Corso Martiri della Libertà to its current location in Viale Oberdan.
today
Today, Fratelli Guidetti maintains the ‘family’ characteristics of its management and ‘professional’ characteristics of its operations, taking on new representation, agencies, concessions and distribution assignments over time.
